Tredunnock Telephone Exchange

Though my parents weren't keen on me spending so much time "on the computer", they did indulge it sometimes, so I was lucky enough to have an ISDN connection. ISDN had two advantages over conventional dial-up: it connected instantly, and it could reach speeds of up to 128 Kbps (by dual bonding the two lines that ISDN for some reason provides).
In 2004 BT announced they would rollout ADSL broadband to all exchanges in the UK, however this would take a number of years. To prioritise exchanges, they invited people to indicate their interest in having broadband.
The chances of my rural exchange - Tredunnock - being prioritised seemed remote. Nonetheless I started a leafleting campaign encouraging people to sign up:

Tredunnock did eventually get broadband in September 2004 but by that time I had more or less permanently moved to York.
